Professor Pacák becomes editor-in-chief of Endocrine-Related Cancer journal

We are pleased to announce a significant shift in the scientific world --Professor Karel Pacak, the head physician of our Center, has been appointed as the new editor-in-chief of a prestigious international professional journal Endocrine-Related Cancers.

From January 1, Professor Pacák will take over the management of the journal after Professor Matthew Ringel, who has shaped his professional direction and international reputation in recent years. This step represents an important milestone not only for the journal itself, but also for the entire expert community dedicated to endocrine tumors.

According to Professor Pacák, this field is undergoing an extremely dynamic evolution towards personalized medicine. New possibilities are mainly brought about by discoveries in molecular biology, biochemistry, proteomics and immunology, with artificial intelligence playing an increasingly important role in accelerating research as well as introducing new treatments into practice.

With this, the need for global collaboration is growing — both in clinical trials and the development of recommended practices, as well as in the building of international databases. It is this vision that the new editor-in-chief will also emphasize within the management of the journal:
